Duncan is a small city between Victoria and Nanaimo with a population just under 5000. The City of Duncan was incorporated in 1912 and is known for one of the largest totem pole collections and named the "City of Totems" in 1985. There are over 40 totem poles throughout Duncan and the Cowichan Historical Society provides free totem tours in the summer months.
In the City of Duncan there are 300 shops and services within its city center and just outside of downtown, you can find lake and ocean water front, world class trails, golf courses and wineries.
